Congrats to both of you! Now, what's your last name, M. le Phantom, that I might curse your wife by calling her by it?

How dare you imply that you might wish to curse Christine!

But I do not have a surname, Mme. la Comtesse de Chagny, so it is quite impossible. *smiles*

Although we really must work out what will happen, then, as far as surnames for us both. Perhaps I shall take the name of Daaé.

So I call you Mr. Daae, then? *snerk*

Don't call me that!

Well, we have not yet decided if that is what we are going to do as far as names go. But certainly you may call me that, if it amuses you. *rolls eyes*

Congratulations to you both. 'S rather nice to see another happy couple that's... not dysfunctional. Anyway, this is such great news.

My friends and I would like to inquire, M'sieur, do you plan on having a stag party at all?

Not dysfunctional?! *bursts out laughing*

Merci, M. Joly.

Stag...party? Please explain this terminology to me, monsieur; I am afraid I am unfamiliar with such a concept.

Typist: OHMYGODYES.

Not dysfunctional as in... not cheating. Yet, I'd hope. Must give it at last a few weeks before that kicks in.

'S basically a party where a horde of men gather for a party before a friend or acquaintance goes off to get married. Bachelor party, I think if you've heard of that. A number of things are involved with them, some that probably shouldn't be mentioned.

At least, 's what I gather, I can't recall ever going to one before.

*shocked* I would never cheat on Christine! I thought you meant dysfunctional as in...well, we have had a bumpy past, what with my stalking her and threatening to kill her (former!) fiancé, and her leaving me... Besides, who in the world would I cheat on her with?

*tinyvoice*butwhatifshecheatsonme?withthevicomte?

Sounds like a pleasant idea. *completely innocent* Why should some things not be mentioned? Oh well. I should certainly like to have one of these parties, then. Do I send out invitations, or is it more of a casual occasion? Perhaps I shall make an announcement on my journal.

No joke? You and Christine, huh?

Mazel tov, congrats, I wish you both the absolute best!

*grins*

I have to say I'm a little jealous...but there's time for that later on...*daydreams*

If you need another guy to even out the line, if Christine gets a bunch of bridesmaids, just let me know - I'd be happy to stand in. Or not, if you don't want me to. But I thought I'd put the offer out there.

Once again - congrats!

Thank you M. Cohen. I can most certainly assure you, it is no joke. Erik proposed to me on the last evening and I accepted.
