He plops belly down next to Grant, smiling.

"Hello."

Grant looks up from his current page, solemn a moment, but relaxing into a smile as the startlement clears.

"Hello," he says.

Typist: Sorry, sorry, wrong icon entirely.

He touches the page of the book with one long finger. "What is this you are reading?"

"Ah, this?" Grant says, "This is something Ari asked me to go over for her. Sociological models, mostly."

Elaine comes in quietly, sliding the book in her hand quietly back onto the shelf; not that anyone here seems to care what she has, but the habit is strong. She spies Grant then, and pauses, debating whether to disturb him.

Grant isn't paying much attention to his surroundings, but he glances up to think over an interjected note and sees Elaine.

He smiles. "Hello again."

"Hello." She comes over to perch on the arm of a chair, a little way off. "Sorry. Are you working?"

"Yes. It's not particularly urgent," he says, and pushes the sheaf of printouts a little further away, "Doing all right?"

"Who are you?"

Grant looks up at her, smiling in amusement. "My name is Grant, young sera."

"That's a funny name. You don't look like a knight. Are you a scholar?"

"Is it?" Grant asks, tickled. "No, I'm not a knight. I suppose I am a scholar."
