Figuring Michael is just another curious mortal, Ariel twitches her wings slightly but doesn't spread them, and smiles sweetly at him.

He reaches out and touches, very lightly. "Ariel."

She jumps, startled and a little affronted. "Yes, I'm Ariel. Who are you?"

Adam gives her an interested glance. "I think there's soda or juice in th' kitchen. Want me to show you?"

She grins. "I'd like to be shown, yes, and also taught what soda is."

"Come on, then," he says, heading for the kitchen. Once they arrive, he hands over a can of soda. "Try this. It's a kind of drink an' it's all fizzy."

Ariel follows him obediently. "Is this your house, or are you a guest as well?" she asks. When she receives the can of soda, she looks at it with curious amusement and taps the top of it against the counter. "How does it open?"
