"That seems to happen a lot," wryly from the door. "Where were you trying to go?"

[:D :D :D!]

She whirls around at the sound of the voice and if possible, her eyes are even wider.

"The courtyard, my lord." Her voice is soft and slightly shaky. "I know I should know better the way, but I have ended up here instead. Somehow."

He blinks, a little startled by the extent of her startlement. "It happens, like I said. Fastest way to get here is not to be expecting it. Are you all right?"

"Of course. I am fine. Why would I not be?" The smile she offers is timid and not terribly reassuring. "Have you just arrived as well then?"

"Haven't we all?" Olivia offers the woman a wry little half-smile.

She certainly has taken her share of wrong turns lately.

[ooc: watch me try to figure out how much of Arthurian legend my girl knows.]

The other woman's voice is relaxing, even if her manner of dress is unusual to say the least.

"Is it a common thing here? For people to just show up unawares?"

Olivia doesn't think anything unusual about the other woman's style of dress. For all she knows it's a period costume. Heaven knew she hung around people in costume enough.

"I can't say whether or not it's common, but it's what happened to me. Do you remember where you were before this?"

"Of course." She half turns toward the door she thinks she's entered through. "The hallway just there, leading to the courtyard."

"Yes, it looks like you might have. But I'm sure I would welcome your company nonetheless," Lestat speaks softly, smiling as he leans against a doorway, his arms folded across his chest.

She eyes the man warily, still startled by her own unexpected appearance.

"I would thank you, sir, if you could tell me where I find myself."

"Cher mademoiselle, you are in the Mansion. Beyond that I cannot tell you, for no one seems to know."

Lestat pushes himself off the wall and approaches her with a feline grace. "Lestat de Lioncourt, at your service," he bows low and takes her hand to kiss it.

"The Mansion? Strange that no one should know where it is. Perhaps I am dreaming?"

She smiles slightly at the gesture, even if it is behaviour due her station.

Have a handsome, almost wry (but ultimately good-natured) smile. "Have not we all?"

Well. Who would have thought she'd ever be relieved to see him.

"My lord Arthur." She bows deferentially.

"Good lady," says he in return, and bows to honour her. "Welcome, and fear little in this place."

He cannot recall her, though he feels that perhaps he should. This is most likely evident in his smile, kind as it is.

"I thank you, my lord, for your reassurance." Her smile is polite, but forced. "I had not thought to find myself here, let alone the King himself."

We'll not mention the children, then. Yet.

"Mistake?" Cywyllog turns another slow circle, taking everything in as much as possible. "I do not think I did anything on purpose..."

Oh, dear.

She glowers. "'S a mistake whether or not y'do it on purpose."

"I suppose perhaps it might be." She answers diplomatically, catching her bottom lip in her teeth. "I do, however, wish to unmake it. Would you know how I could get home?"
