Angier's jaw quite litterally drops at the sound of his wife's voice. A sound he hadn't heard in several years. A voice from behind the grave.

"Dear God... Julia? Is that you?" The man approaches his wife some, slowly as he is burdened with a bad leg or there is no doubt he would be sprinting to her side to embrace her.

"...Rupert?" She'll tip her head to him and her face will break into a large grin and she'll be the one to rush to him and fling her arms about him in the joy of a woman in love.

"You look as though you've seen a ghost."

The magician drops his cane to accept his wife in his arms, holding her tightly. For once in his life, the performer is left speechless for a long moment.

"But... how... You're dead. I watched you drown, you wouldn't cough, I burried you..."

And her brow with crease, prettily. "I... I don't know, actually."

She'll show him her wrists, which have rope burns from her struggle with the knot and frown. "I remember drowning. But I'm here..."

"...I don't know how to explain it, I don't understand it myself."

And she's greeted (hopefully when she's not having her great reunion with her husband) by someone short, dark-haired and decidedly French. "Welcome, madame..."

Well, her husband's typist is away at the moment so this short, dark-haired Frenchman will be welcomed.

"Merci, Monsieur." And she'll sweep herself into a little curtsy.

"You must be new here. This is the Mansion."

"I am." She smiles some.

"The Mansion? Oh my. I wasn't intending to arrive at any mansion."

Linden bows deeply and elegantly, and upon straightening a smile is evident. "Good evening, madam. Are you all right?"

And like any good lady she'll curtsy and smile as well. "I'm quite fine, thank you. I simply have never seen real magic like this. I was...but I'm here." She'll smile more broadly now.

"...I, I don't suppose you know much about this "Mansion" place?"

"Only as much as anyone might. The general idea seems to be that we can't leave, and that we are all drawn together here. I think it is meant to be rather inevitable. There are few people who haven't met someone they know already."

"...We can't leave?" She repeats, rather fretful at that. What if she's needed someplace else, after all, or what if this place isn't to her liking? "We just...live here in this place?"

"Well, I have met someone I know so you are quite right about that I should think."

"Julia."

Small smile curving up the corners of his lips.

"Of course."

"...Alfred? Alfred Borden?"

And she'll smile because he's familiar. "You're here too then?"

"So it would seem."

He's smiling, a little more broadly, but it's the kind of smile he gave Olivia when she told him a half truth. The kind of smile you want to confess all your sins to, and then commit some more.

"Although I'm not exactly clear on where 'here' is."

And the fact that Julia is already incredibly trusting will not help anything as she frowns some, delicately. "Well, I don't suppose it matters. I wonder if it is some sort of limbo? I clearly remember drowning and Rupert says he has died as well..."

At her own mention of her husband's name she'll frown deeply. "Rupert's here. I don't think from what he has told me he'll be too pleased to see you, but I want you to know-- I don't blame you for what happened to me and he should not have either."
