*blinks for a moment at the stranger, and then at the baby* This is.... *blank for a moment, and then it suddenly comes to her* This is Nicholas.

*smiles and gently takes the baby's hand* Hello, Nicholas. What do you think of the world so far? *looks back to Narcissa* How old is he? I'm Anathema Device, by the way.

Nicholas: *blinks at Anathema, then yawns and closes his eyes*

*takes a moment to respond* I... I think he's about a month old.

*and here's Lucius, eyeing the child with an expression of indelible disgust, his lips compressed into a taut, thin line*

*turns* Lucius! *would sag in relief, if it weren't for the baby. As it is, goes to him and fairly clings* Lucius, what's going on? I'm so confused. Where's Draco?

Draco! Thank Merlin! *hurries to him and huge him tightly with the arm not holding a baby* Are you alright? What's going on here?

Going on? With what? *frowns at the baby before looking at her almost suspiciously* What happened to you, Mother..?

*and the baby is sound asleep* I don't know, Draco. I can't remember a thing. I think I remember arriving at this place... *looks around, and slowly nods* Yes, I do. But other than that, not a thing. What's happened?

*peers at her, trying to place her face* *when she does, her eyes widen* Lily Potter?

*feels like she should be sneering at her, because is, after all, a Malfoy (at least as far as she can remember), but just... can't do it. apparently some of the friendly feelings from before are lingering* -- shouldn't you be dead?
