*Mina appears nervous, and touches the crucifix that Arthur gave her often, as though to reassure herself that it is there. When she speaks, her voice is quiet

I...well...that is rather hard to say, madame. There seems to be quite a few, but from what I have seen, they are not all bad at all. I suppose you simply must...be wary.
I know that most vampires do not have a choice in whether they are to become what they are or not, and should not be blamed for it, but is it not true that their nature compels them to act in a manner that is evil, even if they themselves are not so.
The best advice I can over you, madame, is to refrain from walking into a kitchen full of hungry vampires. *speaking from experience, actually, as she was very nearly attacked by three vampires* If you do, chances are you'll be quite alright.
*startled* I know from personal experience that they do, and I do not think I could have imagined the affects that such consecrated things have upon vampires and...those who are close to being so. *does not noticed that Claudia is a vampires, perhaps because she does not know that children vampires exist* You are very young to know about such things.
*backs away quickly as Claudia bares her fangs, stumbling slightly and breathing heavily as she twists her hands together tightly. She is obviously completely terrified*
Amadeo and Jareth are rather polite. Amadeo more so than Jareth, but he has more experience. I'm not as sure of the two newest ones. The petite mademoiselle has been warned against being overly predatory. We do take measure to protect ourselves here. Some are not so wary of your defenses, so depend on caution and being alert more so than garlic and crucfixes.
Jean-Claude also seems to adhere to some standards of behavior but that may because his mortal girlfriend--who hasn't been seen in a while--would be deeply offended if he weren't.
There's a crop of younger ones--Americans mostly I think--who are highly dangerous. They don't turn you into one of their kind as far as I know, but they kill indiscrimately. Molochai is one of them. I've yet to be absolutely sure of the others.
And there are a few who are part of some kind of blood-sucking fraternity that don't feed at all. I don't understand them at all but they won't be dangerous, as best as I can tell.
"Darling, I know a lot of vampires and I can honestly tell you that their bark is worse then their bite." He replied simply with a shrug of his shoulders, his eyes sparking with a michvious light that said 'I'm thinking naughty thoughts about you.' "Jareth seems civil enough, so does Amadeo but apparently, he is no longer a vampire from what I can tell. Jean Claude is pretty civil too, but as for it being his mortal girlfriend's doing, I can tell you that's not the only reason. He worked too hard for his freedom to be jepordized by attacking random people, so I doubt he would do that. The only people he feeds from is myself and Nicki sometimes." He gave a bright smile. "So, I know of at least one vampire you won't have to worry about."
*He unnerves her slightly, making her want to reply to him coldly and obnoxiously, but he has been helpful in a fashion, so she will not do so.* Thank for that information, it is very useful. *She paused and smiled to try to make her next words sound less obnoxious* I have known a few vampires myself, and know that their bite can be very painful. *She blushed and looked down. Saying such a thing so lightly felt...wrong somehow*
With a smirk that somehow still seemed friendly and pleasing to the eyes, he suddenly pulled open his jacket to reveal his bare chest. If she looked close enough, she would see the line of vampiric bites on his flesh running from his neck down his chest and it finished in a more violent and reddish scar, which looked like an animal's bite then a vampire bite. "Trust me dear, I have had more vampires feed from me then you ever will and I have also been bitten by worse things."
*gasps, feeling a sudden empathy for and worry about this man. She puts a hand on his shoulder in what is obviously meant to be a comforting gesture* Oh, sir, I'm so sorry...if there's anything I can do...
*she realizes immediatly that he is a vampire, and so she shudders, holding the crucifix even more tightly. Her voice is quiet* Could one who is burned by it be glad to see another respecting the one it represents? *the words nearly choke her with the memory of the Consecrated Host burning her forehead, but she says them nevertheless.*
*takes the crucifix from her grasp gently and kisses it before returning it to her* Christ the Lord does me no harm, mademoiselle. I have always been a proud Christian. But I forget myself. *bows a little* Andre Le Brel, at your service.
*she looks at his hand, shocked at the fact that it remains unburned. Ironically, she has been holding the crucifix so tightly that it's shape can be seen on her palm. She looks at him square in the face, though she his clearly terrified. She drops the crucifix, and her hands twist together compulsivly. She whispers, to herself rather than him* I have no defense anymore.

Well, some of the vampires are somewhat mannerly.
