Oh come in, King Feanor. I don't think Blakeney Manor has entertained a king before. I hope you're not too terribly disappointed in me.

*comes in, holding a small wooden box*

... disappointed?

That I'm too sick to help you. *doesn't notice the box as he's avoiding looking at Feanor altogether*

What happened? Which what? I'm sick is what. Something with my stomach and stress. Dr. Katherine knows the details.

You should not worry so much, mellon-nin. Remember what I told you about stress and taking time for yourself?

I have tried. I play with Sarah and Ludo and Dragon. I ride with Vidanric and Meliara, who make me laugh all the time I'm with them though Mel doesn't know why. Now I'm stuck here.

*sends a letter, hastily written*

Dear Armand Mr. St. Just Armand,

I have heard that you are ill. I would come visit you myself, but I am not up to leaving the house, and not sure what sorts of conversation we might have. I would so hate to upset you.

Please do not be upset, and please do not worry. I wish you would do what the doctors say-- and do not risk harm to yourself. Please let me know how you are doing. I--

I simply worry for you.

Yours, Love,
Victoria

Dear Victoria,

Thank you so much for your letter. I should hope my ailment isn't anything much to worry about, but I confess I don't know for certain. I am being fussed over quite efficiently. Just get your own strength back and we shall talk later.

Love,
Armand

Dear Armand,

I can't help but feel that we do need to talk, darling. Oh, do forgive me-- I should not speak so familiarly.

I am sorry. My head is not quite clear. I have been alone in this room too long. Let me know when you have recovered, and I shall have you to tea.

Love,
Victoria

P.S. I hold Marguerite's ring as I write this. It feels only proper to return it to you.

*reads this letter some time on Sunday*

*writes*

Dear Victoria,

I have taken a turn for the worse. Don't worry yourself. We can talk about the ring when we're both better.

Love,
Armand

I am sorry you are ill. It is very tiring.

A good King cares for his people. You are not one of my people, but I am learning to have concern. *a beat* May I help you in any way?
