Rather the normal sort of thing, really. Alas! Even after I went to Australia I haven’t any grand adventures to relate. Shame, I suppose, but what can you do ( Read more... )

*shakes hand briskly* Nice to meet you, Thorne. You don't mind if I just call you Thorne, do you? I'm guessing any title would be a bit awkward.

*grins* 'Course, just tell me if I'm far off. Wouldn't want to give offense to such a good looking person!

*grins a bit boyishly* Thorne is fine. I don't have a ship anymore, and this isn't Graf Station.

It's great to have friendly people join the community.

Wonderful! So I'll say it again, with more confidence in my correctness: Pleased to meet you, Thorne. *grins*

Friendly is a title I strive for. *winks*

Hullo, Mister! *offers a flower* You seem nice.

*takes flower gravely* Thank you, dear child. And you seem a most courteous and gracious lady.

*grins and winks* I feel a bit sorry for your older brothers, if you have them. They're going to have quite a time chasing off unsuitable suitors in a few years, so that you only have to pick from the princes.

*smiles and curtsies* I do try, sir.

*giggles and covers her mouth* I have no brothers, or I didn't before I came here. There's Sir Grantaire, my frere, and I suppose he'll look after me. *beams* Oh, I should love to meet a prince. I shall wear the most beautiful ball gown in all the world and win his heart!

Typist: *cough* Oops.

*bows, eyes twinkling* Excellent. Nothing like giving a thing a good go.

*laughs and gently ruffles her hair* I dare say you'd hardly need the most beautiful ball gown in the world for that! Though pretty things are always good, there's no denying it.

Typist: *grins and snugs*

Hello! I know a bit about disguise and pretension, though I've rather happily forgotten what I know by now. I prefer to be my own self as much as possible. I'm Lord Mark. Wonderful to meet you.
