Oh, my ego. It hurts.

Thanks! ...so where's the alcohol round here?

Poor you. My thoughts are with you.

Not a clue. I'm not the one to ask.

Well, thank you. You know, if you want more than just your thoughts to be with me, you can always--

Ow! My typist just kicked me!

...I'll go find someone else to ask about alcohol then.

*curious humming*

Welcome here you are. Large responsibility you have.

Responsibility? I don't like responsibility much. (Unless this is a different type of responsibility that tastes good?)

Hey wait, you talk like that guy Luke mentioned before. Know him?

Learn to respect it you shall.

Young Skywalker I do know. Great power he has. Proud of him I am.

Oh, I don't know. Sounds like something you have when you get old.

"Great" power? He's kinda scary when he does the Jedi thing! He was more fun when he was just a regular Rogue pilot. Now he's all...teaching and stuff. Oh well.

*chuckle* Capes! You had capes? Oh, Miles will love that. *grin* He'll want one, I bet.

I have to admit I've never heard of you, though I've known some pilots in my time. Briefly, anyway. No need to feel insulted, though - I think it's just one of those alternate universe things. Welcome!

Capes are brilliant. Especially the ones on Adumar. Hey, when I manage to track mine down again, maybe I can get this Miles guy one then!

All right-- wait. Alternate universe things? ... That sounds fun?

It seems that people here hail from different times, and sometimes entirely different realities. At least, the facts don't seem to fit. I'm not entirely sure how it works. Of course it's possible that we are all from the exact same reality, just far enough apart in time or space to be unaware of each other.

Either that, or you're not really that famous, in which case, allow me extend my condolences.

Oh, so we're from different universes? I guess that's a good enough excuse to not know who I am. Seems pretty likely, compared to some of the crazy stuff I've seen.

I don't like your second suggestion though.

I fail to see what the previous speaker finds so funny about capes. They're very good winter-wear, and there are those flashy ones the vampires wear that... well, they grow on you. *smile*

Absolutely! My personal favourite was this sort of purple-red one, with a hood, but it got burned and ruined. *sad* But then I got one with flatscreens in it, with lots of great-looking pictures of me. *grins* But that's the one I lost...

Casualties of war!

Of course! Now I need to organise a memorial for them. "O glorious capes, ye shall be missed." I wonder if the military will fund it...

My typist tells me that you fly spaceships. How peculiar. I always thought I was the only man on a ship flying through space.
Well met, colleague!

[typist]Yubyub, commander OMG SQUEE! I cannot possibly say how much I love the X-Wing series. LOVE! [/typist]

I do. Mostly I fly X-wings -- best starfighters in the galaxy! Who needs an A-wing's speed, huh? X-wings all the way.

What sort of ship do you fly, then? Are you in the New Republic?

((muah. I so couldn't resist... X-wing books rock. :D))

captainearendil May 23 2005, 15:44:53 UTC
X-wings? A-wings? New Republic? *doesn't understand anything Wes is saying*

Um. The Vingilot is... well, a ship. A normal ship. With... a keel. And a hull. And a deck. And sails. And freedom. Yo ho. She is a very beautiful ship; she has even been hallowed. But... it seems that she is quite different from your sort of ship...

[Typist] Definitely. Dammit, I've been thinking about adopting Corran Horn for quite some time. I'm afraid that I must do it, now... [/typist]

Oh, right, this alternate universe thing, huh? Well, the New Republic are the government in this galaxy. Lots of bureaucracy, but hey, still my people.

Hull and deck, right. Keel...and sails? ...waitaminute, d'you mean like, a water ship? I've never seen a water ship before, but I think they have them on Mon Cal. Yep, sounds pretty different to a starfighter!

((ew, Corran. ...go for it! Hehe..))
