If Daeron is still around at sunset, there is someone he's never met who will be sitting not too far.

She is reading without light, turning pages too fast to be human.

He probably will be. Stargazing is a fun hobby even when you're not one of those weirdos who moons over the Silmastar.

But he does notice the someone new, and turns his head to look, still on his back, and murmurs, "Not a good book, I take it?" In his perpetually dry but still rather pleasant voice. Mellifluous enough.

"Quite excellent, on the contrary," she replies, in halting Sindarin without looking up. "You may have heard of it, perhaps?"

She moves so that the cover might be visible.

It's the Lord of the Rings.

His eyebrows rise even more, not quite staring, but something close. "...well, now. I have, and read it, though I can't speak much to the accuracy of that particular one." He didn't get involved. Scrupulously.

No longer a lioness, Galadriel pads over to Daeron, and sits next to him quietly.

They haven't spoken since Luthien came.

He looks up, a little surprised to see her. Their past interactions, after all, haven't always gone well. But he inclines his head, sitting up. "Lady," with wary respect. "Good day."

"And to you," she replies quietly. "Have you been well?"

A pause, slightly. And a shrug. "Well enough, I suppose. Yourself?"

[arid_white_lady]

Hi, Daeron. Here's that woman you got really pissed at you, last time you saw her.

And now here she is, fatter (!) than last you saw her, and turning on her heels the moment she spots his presence.

She no want to see a Daeron, Aredhel.

Daeron, however, is not to be foiled so easily. "Aredhel. Won't you at least say hello?"

Hmph. She stops turns, inclines her head.

"Hello." There. Happy now? Good bye.

[ofdoriath]

No, not happy now. A slight nod. "I didn't hear about your...good fortune."

[sophie_darling]

Here's someone new. She's standing right next to Daeron, and offering him a daisy with a wide, silent smile.

He looks sad. People shouldn't be sad.

He tilts his head back and stares at her, eyebrows crawling up his forehead. "...for me?"

[sophie_darling]

The little girl grins. "For you, sir. Smile. It's a beautiful day."

"I don't smile." With utmost seriousness. "It makes my face hurt."
