No longer a lioness, Galadriel pads over to Daeron, and sits next to him quietly.

They haven't spoken since Luthien came.

He looks up, a little surprised to see her. Their past interactions, after all, haven't always gone well. But he inclines his head, sitting up. "Lady," with wary respect. "Good day."

"And to you," she replies quietly. "Have you been well?"

A pause, slightly. And a shrug. "Well enough, I suppose. Yourself?"

"The same," she replies, thoughtfully.

"You have been on my mind, Daeron."

..."I have?" A bit surprised, there. "Why so?"

Galadriel glances at him. "Tinuviel was here. I wondered if you saw her."

At once, his face slams shut, like a door. Hard.

"Yes."

She's given it some thought.

Also, Daeron is a Targaryen name. See the third chapter of CoK. *geeks*

I knowwww eee. It made me glee when I saw that too.

"The girl I remembered was witty and alert. Was that who you saw, Daeron?"

He was a little preoccupied, and hesitates, to admit it. "She hasn't been here in a long time. Why does it matter?"

Daeron's expression is stubborn. "Either way, whatever or whoever it was is gone." Leaving me just where I was.
