Note: For Lestat

Because he can't find another way to get in touch with Lestat besides returning to the Villa where he spoke to Marius (and Louis won't consider that), he writes a note and leaves it on the mansion's cork board. This was what Marius instructed him to do when he needed him, so he supposes that someone would pass the note to Lestat.

It is much later on, after the delivery of the note to him, that Lestat finds himself at the mansion. It took him quite a while to work up the courage to make the journey, the prospect of seeing Claudia frightening him perhaps more than anything he has had to face in quite some time, but here is here. Still he shall keep a strong front.

He settles himself in the main room, and sets to waiting for Louis to come to him rather than seeking him out.

Because his own skills at hunting down other vampires are terribly lacking, it isn't until Louis checks the front rooms, a bit later on, when he notices Lestat. He pauses in the doorway, his expression for once difficult to read. "She is in the library."

He makes no move to follow Lestat, should he go, understanding that this was their time. He hardly wishes to intrude on it. Not only that, but he knows Lestat intends to keep his distance -- he isn't going to make that harder.

There is no move made to rise from his seat, he merely glances at the other vampire. "How are you Louis?"

Blinking, Louis almost smiles -- but he can't seem to quite manage it. "A strange question." There is something less... tall... about him. It is as though he isn't standing straight.

Finally he sighs and leans one shoulder against the door frame; this time his response is more automatic, "Well. I have been looking after Claudia."
