Pandora walks in the room, and though she may have perhaps felt him before, she stops dead in her tracks.

"Armand?"

She was told he was there - but she never actually met him. "How --- you're here..."

T: Hello there. Here's a post-Pandora Pandora (how redundant). She's been around for about 10 months, and does know Jareth, so... yes there are going to be some amusing moments of confusion. She asked about Armand regularly.

All too quickly, Armand slipped from the chair and approached the elder vampire. He seemed calm, but couldn't hide the faint relief. "Pandora... tell me, what is this place? Are there others here?"

"There are," she replies in her cold, sober manner. "But all save me live outside of the Mansion." She looks at him, curiously. "Armand, Amadeo, what is your last memory, before you found yourself here?"

The question was strange, and it made Armand not want to answer it. He half-turned back to the chair he'd abandoned, but was still after that, frowning. "My last memory... is being at the Night Island, Pandora. But I am not there often anymore, you know. Why do you ask me this?"

Moriarty glances up from his book.

"Are you lost...sir?"

There's something rather odd about this young man. He doesn't appear to be half-blood, but, than again, one can't always tell. In any event, Moriarty watches the newcomer with a sort of wary interest.

The question struck Armand in a strange way. He smiled, though it didn't quite reach his eyes, which remained unchanging and even emotionless. "Are you?" He meant nothing cruel or mocking by it... or perhaps he did, in a way, but he also seemed to have genuine interest in Moriarty's response.

He smiles.

"Perhaps. Most of us here are, in one way or another."

Tonight is like all the others these past months for Jareth; his nightly rounds of familiar territories in his never-ending search for his missing husband finally bringing him to the Mansion. Weariness betrays itself in a certain tightness around a mouth that hasn't seen an unforced smile in some time, just as much as some faint glimmer of hope still maintains itself within his eyes.

The lake and gardens are checked first before he enters, sighing faintly as he prepares himself for another unfruitful night of checking empty rooms; a sigh that stops short as his gaze falls on a familiar face.

It takes several moments of trying before he finally finds his voice to speak, and when he does it's only one word, softly whispered and filled with near-disbelief.

"... Amadeo?"

The other vampire caught his attention immediately, but Armand hadn't ever seen anyone like him before. Of course, he was aware that other "species", if you will, of their kind existed... but this was outside of that knowledge. And his mind was impenetrable. He was intrigued, and would have spoken first had the vampire not said his name.

Armand's hand stilled, but he was not very surprised. He knew that Marius was here -- Marius, who was the only one who knew his name, the only one that mattered, as it was -- and it made sense that he would have mentioned him to this other vampire. Pandora had also known it. Still, it irritated him, for reasons he couldn't explain. Perhaps it was because it wasn't the name he'd given to anyone; it was a name he'd given up.

"Armand," he said simply, firmly. "That is my name."

The response visibly shakes Jareth not unlike the blow of a fist that would knock a mortal to the floor, and he rests a hand against the wall to steady himself as he closes his eyes, shaking his head as if that will somehow change what he now suspects to be the terrible work of the Mansion.

"... Amadeo King. Your name is Amadeo King, and I'm Jareth - your husband."

"No," said Armand, with the simplicity of a child, but he was confused -- and unnerved, though did not show it. His expression was calm and unchanging, although he hesitated briefly, only because he wasn't certain if he ought to reveal his lack of knowledge.

But there didn't seem to be any other option. "I don't know you."

OOC: You can have this journal if you like the name better. Let me know either way.
