Another VC!
There was no real explanation for why he was here, but Armand did not care.
It was his attire that made him seem as though he was from another era -- Victorian, perhaps -- but it was a modern style he was fond of. Sometimes. The crushed velvet made his auburn hair brighter, his face more youthful. Unconcerned, he moved through the hallways, steering clear of others until he reached a room with books. Not once did his arms move from his sides, and there was no interest nor curiosity in his expression. The strangeness of this place wasn't quite enough to catch his full attention; at least not yet.
Once he reached a section with chairs, Armand sat, his hands on the armrests, and when he sank into it he seemed much smaller than he actually was. In appearance, he wasn't more than seventeen -- sixteen, even -- but there was something off about it. His eyes were tired, dull, offsetting the brilliant thoughtfulness of his clothing, and made him appear much older. For a while, Armand simply listened to everything around him, carelessly unguarded, his thoughts trailing unfinished. There was no one he cared to find.
