He rides in on a horse that looks like it's seen better days, in worn and bloody gear, and the first words out of his mouth are "Jesus be damned." Turns out these words are addressed to the horse, because he follows it up by leaning along her neck and adding, "Of all the places to bring me, you Satan-bred animal. Where the hell is it?"

Guinevere were just walking out. Erhem. And she was just going to spend some time with wonderful, beautiful horses, before she went back in to find her very illegitimate lover.

She pauses, and looks at the angry knight curiously. She has no clue who he is, but his disposition puts her ill at ease.

I'm so glad I get to use the icon OMG it's Agravaine. And actually to have an Agravaine for it. She doesn't actually know about the whole fall of Camelot Fiasco. For some reason, no-one has ever told her.

Agravain is from far enough back that he doesn't really know about the Fiasco either. As far as he's concerned, the Queen is still someone he has a slight, deeply sexist respect for. "Your Majesty," he says, very gruffly.

She inclines her head, regally - it's a reflex more than anything else.

"Sir." She doesn't quite place him. "Is all well?"

"Well, I'm in this damned--" He stops, clears his throat. "D'you know where this is, Your Majesty?"

Nik leans against the railing, and raises one eyebrow, slowly.

He's thinking - You probably could use some zen training, yo.

He will soon enough understand who he's looking at. At which point, he'll facepalm in secret.

Agravain tromps up to the railing, looks at him in silence for a moment, and then says, "Well?"

Niko doesn't twitch a hair. "Good afternoon to you too, Sir."

"Where the hell's this?"

"Are you a knight?" a little redheaded boy asks eagerly. In all likelihood, he bears some slight family resemblance. "I like your horse."

"...That's right, a knight," Agravain agrees. "You the page?"

He puffs out his chest. "I'm Sir Kay's squire."

[agravaiting]

"Oh, Jesus."

Lleu will flinch and then turn again to face him squarely, familiar enough with the Mansion's ways to realize that this probably isn't exactly the Agravain he knows and despises... but maybe he is.

and he's Arthur's legitimate son and heir, from the winter prince.

Agravain looks at him in confusion.
