Something wicked this way comes?

The newest arrival in the mansion is a tall, dark, mysterious man. Tall because he's a few inches shy of seven feet tall (about 6'8", if anyone's asking); dark because he's wearing a black leather duster, black fedora, and a black leather glove on his left hand (underneath the duster is a very ordinary t-shirt and pair of jeans, plus some dusty old ( Read more... )

Well, things had been getting a bit dull lately. This new arrival had a sense of chaos about him, not to mention a bit of the old magic razzle-dazzle, both things Eris happened to be very fond of.

Yes, things were about to get very interesting indeed. "Well, hello there, sugar."

Harry pulls his hat off and scratches his messy hair. "Uh, hi. Could you maybe tell me where Chicago went?" Not the best way to meet someone, maybe, but first impressions aren't everything, right? Sure, Harry. Keep telling yourself that.

Eris shoots him a flirtatious grin. He reminds her of John, only taller and much less of a arsehole. "Chicago's about a few dimensions back, past the left turn to Albuquerque. You're stuck here, I'm afraid."

"I knew I should have asked for diwections," he mutters, in his best Elmer Fudd impression. "Serves me wight for chasing wascally wabbits."

Mouse yips at Eris's feet, rubbing himself against her ankle companionably. "Er -- Mouse, come on. Leave the nice lady alone."

The scene is going to summon a half-eyebrow from Niko, which is more than it should, he would tell you. He pauses in his kata for the disturbance, and look up.

"Pet problems?" He's so relaxed in appearance - don't let it fool you.

"Sorry -- my cat has a taste for canine flesh. I try to break him of it, but..." Harry stoops to scoop up Mouse and tuck him into his pocket. "Sorry to interrupt you. What style is that?"

"Ninjitsu." He tucks away the katana in his back holster, and smiles twistedly. "You got an interest in the arts?"

"I dabble, here and there. Mostly tae kwon do, a little bit of kung fu. My pal Murph gives me free lessons sometimes." Though these lessons mostly consist of Harry interrupting her practice and having to defend himself.

Harry will be coming across a tall, very tall, lovely blond woman whose hair is remarkably full of light.

She is sitting by the nearby pond, and she will look up at the scene and let out an amused chuckle.

Galadriel doesn't laugh much, these days - but she appreciates the distraction.

"Hi...?" At least she's not trying to kill him. Harry is uncomfortably reminded of his godmother, which makes him edge back a little. "Am I lost? Is this -- where is this?" It doesn't feel like The NeverNever, which is a comfort, at least.

"They call this the Mansion," she replies, clearly unsurprised by the question. "But where it is, I cannot say, in truth."

Godmother? Well, she is 14000 years old, which shows in her eyes. But no, no killing instincts here - only a very old Elf who is remarkably peaceful.

Well so is Harry's godmother. Fairy godmother, in point of fact. She's also a little evil and thinks that keeping Harry safe means keeping him as a pet, which is neither here nor there.

"The Mansion? That's it? Is -- that some sort of swanky new club I haven't heard about?"

Caliban is sitting on the porch looking half amused and half just vaguely sarcastic, as usual.

"No, it's definitely not that," dryly, "And probably not even fucking Earth, when it comes right down to it."

If Harry can sense it, there's something off about Caliban - he's not quite human, though he looks like any other very pale handsome just out of teenage-r.

Harry might not be able to, but Mouse is very good at spotting people who are a little off. However, this boy doesn't seem dangerous. Just very sad. Which is why Caliban has a puppy in his lap, washing his face eagerly.

"Uh -- sorry about that." Harry kneels and steals Mouse back, looking sheepish. "He's friendly, isn't he? But he's as harmless as a dust bunny. It's Mister you have to watch out for." The cat in question has slunk under the porch to prowl for eatable things.

Cal gives Mouse a fuzzing, actually, and smiles. "Nah, it's fine. Always liked dogs." He glances under the porch. "I'll keep an eye out for him, I guess."

Cal doesn't usually have problems with animals - most of them avoid him like the plague.

"I think you're too big for him to eat, though." He lets the puppy go, who promptly starts running circles around Cal and yapping at him, wanting to play. "Mouse, you are an obnoxious creature." Mouse whines at Harry and Harry sighs, "Fine, ask him to play. But don't pout at me if he doesn't want to."

Lucivar looks up from where he's practicing and a very slight smile flickers over his face. He sets the end of the Eyrien stick on the ground and eyes Harry for a moment before mentioning, "It might help if you had something more appealing for him to chew on."

It reminds him of Kaelas and Ladvarian.

"Yeah but then I wouldn't be able to have my nifty walking stick." He leans against his blasting rod, eyebrows raised. "Looks like you got a nifty stick of your own, there, friend. Any specific reason?" He wonders if this is another wizard. And if it is, why Harry hasn't seen him at any council meetings.

Lucivar is looking him over carefully, golden eyes narrowed. And says eventually, "It's a weapon."
