Hanging off the bandwagon (Intro)

He comes, his mount fully loaded with scavenged goods and remnants of food - his clothes are ripped, his arms are bloodied but whole, his eyes are full of simmering fury.  At his side, the trusty sword, clean and well furbished, the golden hilt gleaming in the sun’s last rays. On his back, the arrows and the bow, ready to be taken.

This is the price of having a civil conversation with one Fëanorian?

Anyway, have a fairly recently-dead cousin. He'd know those capslocks anywhere. "--Would it kill you to keep it down?"

This is the moment the typist was waiting for to use the "What do you mean you're dead" icon. Except it's to express wonder at the fact that he's alive.

"Apparently it doesn't kill YOU!" He's not even done with his rant, and so he goes on. "That stupid battle wasn't enough to set his butt on fire, apparently, and...."

....

This is the sound of eyeballs popping out. He's speechless. DEAD RELATIVES. NOT GOOD.

He does refrain from a slow clap. "It doesn't, no, you kind of missed your chance." Entirely too cheerful about the dead thing, but then, Caranthir's expression would make anyone's day.

"MAYBE I WILL TAKE IT NOW, THEN!" And yes, he's actually, er, drawing his sword, and making ready. Dead relatives should be dead. That means, they shouldn't be talking to you. And if possible, they shouldn't be visible at all.

And when they're Angrod, they should really, really be dead, anyway.

A little brother does appear shortly after Caranthir yells, but not from the direction his brother was expecting, he doesn't appear to have come from battle, he looks shocked to see his brother...and a moment later a second redheaded little brother appears. "Caranthir? I...I'm here."

Another moment of complete befuddlement. The annoying undead cousin was one thing. The dead little brother is another completely.

.....

"Ambarussa. You're...." He takes a step back. "What sorcery is this?"

He's just about to draw his sword again.

Pityo's eyes are a little wide and staring as he looks his older brother over and realizes just when he was. Telvo is just staying very still and looking awkward. The twins exchange a worried glance before Pityo takes a hesitant step forward, trying to soothe the big brother. "No, this is not sorcery. Look around you, this is not where you were. That is the magic, this place somehow draws people in and now it's brought you here, too."

"You and I both. We have to get back on the road and hit it, to Amon Ereb. We must leave this place of spells and illusions before night fall."

He's deliberately not looking at Telvo. Illusions of a cherished dead brother are not good - they hurt, and Carnistir does not feel pain, anguish, or regret, ever. Of course not.

"Where is your mount? Get it, we must leave anon!"

For a change, have someone who wasn't dead last time you met. Have a big brother, coming against all reason out of the house, roused by all the shouting.

"--Carnistir?"

Yes. That's is, indeed, GOOD. And the caps denote affirmation, for once.

He'll turn around, not exactly starting, but taking a breath.

"Maitimo!" Not dead relative. Not a dead relative. Wonderful! "What the hell is this valardamned place! Dead people everywhere!" Pause. "And what the hell are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in Himring?"

He's not really yelling, but there's a glimmer of caution. He's not quite sure where he is and what's going on. You never know what other tricks the Ennemy will come up with.

"No." Himring being currently a tiny island in the sea somewhere. Ask Maglor about that one. He looks curiously at Caranthir, partly out of askfhkjhag he missed his dead angry brother, partly out of his evident time-displacement. "Where do you come from?" With a glance at his assorted luggage.

"From Dagor Bragollach, where else, big brother?" He almost scowls, but doesn't. "Don't you remember the fighting and the flight? I lost Amrod. I lost the little one."

He's now angry at himself, and because he doesn't turn his anger against himself, ever, turns and punches the closest tree.

"And how do I know you're not an illusion too?"

Tyelko looks up from where he's brooding, again, and immediately heads outside, looking focused for the first time, eyebrows drawn down - and mildly urgently hoping he can prevent his younger brother from doing anything stupid.

He's actually learned a thing or two! Blame Angy.

Well, by now, he's insulted Angrod profusely, pissed off Pytio, been weirded out by Telvo, and again weirded out by Maitimo. So.

He's actually happy to see Tyelko, though. He's not dead, right?

"Tyelko!" He crosses the distance. "They said you were here. You have to tell me you're not dead! Please!"

He's going to wait for that. "I hope you haven't done anything stupid yet," is his offer before actually giving this brother a hug, because this little brother he knows well, and last he knew he was dead. He probably looks older than when Caranthir saw him last, more serious, and also a little more worried. He's been given a lot to think about.

"No, not yet," he replies gruffly. "I never do anything stupid. What I want to know, though, is why we have dead annoying relatives' ghosts walking around, and how Maitimo got his hand back, and how Telvo rose from the dead."

He's not yelling, for a change, but that's a grouchy reply for you, Celegorm.

"And whatever happened to you? You look like the Naugrim just locked you up in a bottomless pit!"

Still in his battered armor but looking steadier, he knows that yelling, and this is a scowling Fingon standing in the doorway with his arms crossed. He doesn't really like that Feanorian, even if he's somewhat obliged to be nice because of Mae.

"Perfect. I need to see my brothers. Let me pass." Frowning and not pleased and not in a mood to talk at this point.

Maglor will have all the answers, since even the dead people say he's not dead.
