"...dreams of nothing but pound cake and apricot jelly!"

May 28, 2008 18:55

Young Lämmermeier had been spreading some nice apricot jelly on bread earlier, ready for yet another delightful breakfast with his mother and father. He had been in the process of pouring tea for his lovely parents when he... well, blinked. And suddenly the table is gone along with the tea and his parents and-- oh no, not the toast and jelly.

And because honestly, this never gets old for him, and it's just entirely too amusing to be able to do this, Moritz sneaks up behind Lämmermeier and clasps his shoulder firmly. He leans in, and very softly whispers...

"Boo."

Lämmermeier actually squeaks and fumbles about, scooting away from Moritz, staring with eyes as wide as saucers.

"I-I... oh dear God, I've been killed!" he cries out.

"Funnily enough, that's nearly the same thing I said when I died." He should tell him that he's not dead. He should tell him that he, Moritz, isn't dead either. But where's the fun in that?

"WHAT DID I DO? Is this hell? Oh, Lord, I've gone to hell haven't I? Why am I here? I was eating breakfast!"

Well, if Georg's toast and jelly disappeared suddenly, he'd be a bit upset himself.

As it is, though, he's feeling rather warm and content as he walks through the mansion, with his hair rather mussed, some grape juice on his lips, and a rather cat-that-got-the-cream look on his face. He stops and blinks at Lammermeir, then grins broadly and waves. "Lam! Hello!"

Lämmermeier merely blinks up at Georg, rather flabbergasted that his breakfast has just disappeared.

"... H-Hello?"

Cheerfully, Georg flops down on the floor by Lammermeir. "How are you?" It's so nice that all of his friends are showing up -- it's like being at home, but better because all the other people here are amazing. And not like parents.

"I'm confused," he says, actually sulking as he looks over at his friend, "and I'm hungry. And I want to go home and I don't want to be here."

A German! Clearly Karla has to say hello.

"...you look surprised," from a corner of the room, pale eyebrows raised.

Lam stares for a long moment.

"W-WHO ARE YOU?" he finally shouts, scooting himself backwards from her. "... Wh-where am I?"

"Karla," she says promptly, and offers a hand. "You've arrived at the Mansion. I think most everyone you know is here, if I'm correct."

He simply stares at her hand, far too frightened to take it. He curls up against the wall and looks around shiftily.

Locke comes wandering in and notices the hand and grins slightly. "You seem to be missing something there. I don't think keeping your hand properly positioned is going to bring it back."

"B-But.... my breakfast..." he trails off lamely, finally dropping his hand. He looks about quickly, clearly skittish.

Locke shrugs. "'Fraid you're going to have to find a new one. You're not going back anytime soon." Sorry Lam. Locke isn't known for his sympathy.

Lam wants to cry.

Well, here's one of the few Germans who isn't likely to upset dear Lam in any way, shape, or form.

"Lämmermeier?"

"... Wendla?" In Lam's world, Wendla is alive, though not in his house? "What are you doing here? Did you take my breakfast?"

"Your... breakfast? No, I'm sorry. I was just walking past, and I saw you here. And forgive me for saying so, but you look awfully confused."

"Erm. I am."

He scrambles to his feet, brushes himself off, and looks around. "This... is not my house?" he finally says lamely.
