"...dreams of nothing but pound cake and apricot jelly!"

May 28, 2008 18:55

Young Lämmermeier had been spreading some nice apricot jelly on bread earlier, ready for yet another delightful breakfast with his mother and father. He had been in the process of pouring tea for his lovely parents when he... well, blinked. And suddenly the table is gone along with the tea and his parents and-- oh no, not the toast and jelly.

Well, if Georg's toast and jelly disappeared suddenly, he'd be a bit upset himself.

As it is, though, he's feeling rather warm and content as he walks through the mansion, with his hair rather mussed, some grape juice on his lips, and a rather cat-that-got-the-cream look on his face. He stops and blinks at Lammermeir, then grins broadly and waves. "Lam! Hello!"

Lämmermeier merely blinks up at Georg, rather flabbergasted that his breakfast has just disappeared.

"... H-Hello?"

Cheerfully, Georg flops down on the floor by Lammermeir. "How are you?" It's so nice that all of his friends are showing up -- it's like being at home, but better because all the other people here are amazing. And not like parents.

"I'm confused," he says, actually sulking as he looks over at his friend, "and I'm hungry. And I want to go home and I don't want to be here."

"Oh." His smile falters a little, and he pulls his legs up Indian style, tilting his head at Lammermeir. "Well, all of that's really fixable. I can help make you un-confused... or as un-confused as possible," he adds dubiously, "and I can show you where the kitchen is. And in a few days you'll get used to it here. Everyone's here! Ernst and Hanschen and Melchior and Moritz -- " He cuts himself off because Moritz should be dead.

Lämmermeier does not like the sound of that already. He sulks even more.

That is-- until Georg mentions Moritz. ".... ARE WE DEAD?"

Georg quickly shakes his head. "Nonono -- Moritz isn't dead either! This place... This place can bring you back from being dead. It brought you here -- and me, when I was walking to practice, and it must have brought Moritz here after he died. It's a wonderful place, I promise!"

He looks at him for a long, long moment, a skeptical expression on his face.

Perhaps he's dreaming. That might be it! "... Okay," he accepts, wondering when he'll wake up.

He isn't really sure if that helped any, so he goes back to his inventory of people. "...Ilse is here too! And Martha, and Otto, and Thea." He pauses, then adds (trying not to make a face because it really wouldn't be fair), "And Wendla too."

Lam considers this. It must be a very detailed dream that goes far beyond mere cakes and jams.

"Well! Isn't that, ah, lovely! Everyone here," he says awkwardly. At least he's not dead.

"... it is!" This doesn't seem to be going as well as Georg might have liked it to go, though he never really stopped to consider how it would go, and this is much too much thinking to have to do after spending the afternoon with one's lovers. "You'll like it here, I promise. Just the other day Martha and I were discussing how much more we like it here than home."

Better than home? Nonsense! He loves his home! And his jelly. :(

"O-oh, is that so?" he replies, distracted, "How is Martha? And everyone else?" Even though he had just seen them all yesterday.

Don't worry, Lam! There's jelly here, too. "Martha's doing quite well!" He pauses to be a little privately amused for a second before he continues. "And Thea -- Wendla did her hair the other day and it looked lovely. Ernst has a puppy!"

Apparently Georg feels talkative. Congratulations, Lam.

"That's... that's interesting!" He's trying to enthusiastic, Georg, he is, but the fact that he has been magically transported from his breakfast table to the floor of some unknown mansion is hard to swallow.

"... would you like to see the kitchen?" Georg for one thinks that food might possibly fix any situation.
