Alice Cullen had only just kissed Jasper goodbye and shut the door to the clan's house when she remembered she’d forgotten her keys. Letting out an impatient huff, she turned about with grace that would make a ballerina jealous and came face-to-face with a door that was not her own.

Caliban dutifully opens the door, because it's what Niko would want him to do. However, the smell makes him jump. "Jesus!" he says, before reining himself in and taking a deep breath, looking around at the yard almost warily. "Um, hi," he says, hesitantly. "You're..."

He can't quite decide what would be the polite thing to say here. Caliban isn't really any good at polite.

Her hand poised as it had been when, moments before, she'd prepared to open the door herself, Alice's mouth gapes. She takes a moment to recover, startled as she is by this new face.

"Um...hello..." She attempts, somewhat embarrassed. Could this be considered almost breaking and entering? After all, she'd been about to open the door to a building she'd never even seen before...

"I'm Alice," she informs the man, mustering an awkward smile. "I'm not sure where I am, but one moment I was leaving my house and the next..." She grins and gestures around herself, "I'm here."

Caliban gives a wry little, rather anemic laugh. "Yeah, weird, in't?" He says with a one-shouldered shrug. "That's about what happened to me, too. F-really weird place, this is."

Alice smiles at Caliban, agreeing with a nod. "Definitely not something that happens to you every day..." Her smile widened to a bright grin "But then I come from a long history of strange happenings."

Firekeeper comes wandering from behind on silent feet, and Alice's sense of her might be a little confusing. She's human yes, but there's a peculiar sense of 'wolf' radiating from everything about her, though she's not a werewolf. She tilts her head and frowns. "You know the st-Edward?" She says, finally.

Alice jumps, taken by surprise. It takes her a moment to process what this strange girl is saying to her.

"Edward Cullen?" She questions, excited. Perhaps the near future was nearer than she thought. The sooner she can meet up with Edward and Bella and figure out what in the world is going on, the better.

She smiles cheerfully at the girl. "He's my brother."

Firekeeper brightens. Congratulations, Alice, you've just been adopted, though it might not be mentioned, ever. She nods, briefly. "Yes, Edward is here," she says with a little attempt at a smile - it still feels strange, that gesture - "With his mate. You are part of his pack?"

Warmed by the kindness of the girl's words, Alice smiled and thanked her, though she wasn't entirely sure what "adopted" implied or even who she was being adopted by. The news about Edward and Bella was wonderful to her ears.

"We're siblings of sorts," She replied.

"Just a moment!" Jaenelle calls, and opens the door a moment later, brushing her hair back and beaming at Alice. "Hello! Welcome, too. I know it's a bit disorienting, but..."

Alice smiles thankfully at the friendly girl and shakes her head in confusion.
"That's one way to put it. I was just leaving and then..." She shrugs, still smiling. "I guess it's not important. Am I right in thinking that Edward Cullen and Isabella Swan are here also?"

Jaenelle ponders for a moment, trying to remember. "...I think so. I think...oh, yes! Edward Cullen. I remember him. Isabella - that would be Bella, I guess. I met her as well."

Alice nods with relief. "That's wonderful. I thought I'd seen them." Knowing this declaration likely makes little sense, as she's only just arrived, Alice hastens to clarify. "I mean, I sensed that they might be here. Edward is more or less my brother, so I guess you could say I'm very attuned to him."

Well, that's close enough to the truth. Alice chooses to be reserved about her visions of the future, for the obvious reason that most people look at her like she's crazy. More than anything, she would like to avoid being labeled as a lunatic once more.

Lucivar lights on the ground, folding his wings in (which probably doesn't help with the whole 'am I mad' thing) and a half smile tugs at one corner of his mouth. "Hello," he says in a quiet, low voice, rather more subdued than normal. "New here, I guess."

The strange man startles Alice and she simply stands there for several moments, trying to recapture her sanity, golden eyes wide. Knowing there has to be a logical explanation for his strange appearance, Alice pushes away her confusion and smiles brightly at the reserved man.

"Yes, I am. Though I don't really know where here is..."

Lucivar rolls his shoulders, noticing the golden eyes and one eyebrow twitching up from eyes the same golden color. One corner of his mouth quirks slightly more. "Yeah, I don't think anyone does, really," he says, almost ruefully. "It's a bit of a strange...place."

Alice fidgets with the material of the lacey skirt she's wearing, somewhat unsettled by the man's analytical gaze.

"Well, I'm used to the strange." She offers after a moment, smiling once more. "I'm pretty strange myself."

Bella is walking through the entrance hall on her way to the kitchen. Two words had been monopolizing her mind for the last hour: "very" and "hungry." But on her way there, out of the corner of her eye, she spots a very pale person standing just inside the door.

A very familliar person.

Whirling around, Bella's jaw drops and she lets out an excited squeal, "Alice!"

The sound of Bella's voice is sweeter than any music in the world to Alice's ears. She runs to her friend and envelops her in a close hug. When she's pulled away, Alice holds Bella at arms length, allowing her confusion and fear to show through.

"Bella...what's going on? I was just leaving the house and then I was here...?"

Now that she has seen that Bella is ok, Alice allows herself to worry about the bigger picture, namely her random teleportation to...wherever this place is.

"I know, I know!" Bella said just as exctiedly, but in a more happier way, "It happened to Edward, Jacob, and I, too. No one knows why or how."

She shrugged, trying to seem optimistic. Maybe if she was upbeat, Alice would not worry so much, "It's a mystery!"

Sadly, she couldn't help but feel sorry for her friend. It was really a crime that Jasper hadn't show up with her.

"Someone said my name?" Jacob follows the sound of Bella's voice and smiles, then frowns in confusion. Edward's sister is here. Shit, what's her name, what's her name. Damnit, he should really pay better attention to these things -- Alice! That's the one. Rosalie's the scary blonde one. Right. He smiles again, though still rather obviously confused.
