Alice Cullen had only just kissed Jasper goodbye and shut the door to the clan's house when she remembered she’d forgotten her keys. Letting out an impatient huff, she turned about with grace that would make a ballerina jealous and came face-to-face with a door that was not her own.

Firekeeper comes wandering from behind on silent feet, and Alice's sense of her might be a little confusing. She's human yes, but there's a peculiar sense of 'wolf' radiating from everything about her, though she's not a werewolf. She tilts her head and frowns. "You know the st-Edward?" She says, finally.

Alice jumps, taken by surprise. It takes her a moment to process what this strange girl is saying to her.

"Edward Cullen?" She questions, excited. Perhaps the near future was nearer than she thought. The sooner she can meet up with Edward and Bella and figure out what in the world is going on, the better.

She smiles cheerfully at the girl. "He's my brother."

Firekeeper brightens. Congratulations, Alice, you've just been adopted, though it might not be mentioned, ever. She nods, briefly. "Yes, Edward is here," she says with a little attempt at a smile - it still feels strange, that gesture - "With his mate. You are part of his pack?"

Warmed by the kindness of the girl's words, Alice smiled and thanked her, though she wasn't entirely sure what "adopted" implied or even who she was being adopted by. The news about Edward and Bella was wonderful to her ears.

"We're siblings of sorts," She replied.

She nods once. "Yes, you smell like him," she says, clearly satisfied. "I am Firekeeper."

Alice gives Firekeeper a double take, narrowing her eyes as she tries to process the woman's words. To all appearances, she is a human, and yet her sense of smell is good enough for her to connect her to Edward and she does have a certain feral aura surrounding her. Curious, Alice smiles at the interesting young woman.

"It's nice to meet you, Firekeeper, I'm Alice"

Firekeeper seems completely unconscious of the scrutiny she is receiving, though she continues to examine Alice with pleased curiosity. She tilts her head to the side. "Alice," she says with a nod. "It is good. You are Edward's Packmate? No - littermate," she says, with more confidence, and a nod to herself.

Amused by the strange girl's behavior, Alice laughs melodically.

"Yes, I suppose you could say I am."

Though the signs are there, Alice refuses to connect Firekeeper to anything remotely werewolfish. There is nothing about the girl that touches the violent anger she usually feels towards such creatures, except perhaps the vaguely unpleasant odor she emits (nothing at all like the stench Jacob exudes).

Firekeeper grins and nods, storing that away. "Good. Edward is sometimes-Pack," she explains, just in case. And finally notices the scrutiny and frowns, just slightly. "Something bad?" she asks, quietly, but not really dangerously. She has no reason to be hostile, after all.
