Introductions are always so difficult...

I'd rather just skip them all together, but seeing as how the general public does not find that polite I suppose it's best that I just get it over with. My name is Lestat I was born in Auvergne, France in 1760. Yes, that does mean I am quite old. No, jokes about my age are not appreciated, and I would prefer it if it just wasn't mentioned again. As I stated before, 1760. And I'm surprised you don't remember me sir.

Ah, excuse me, I misunderstood the question. I honestly couldn't tell you the time which I was taken from, only that it was quite a bit of time after my brief stint as a musician.

Nicki raises his eyebrow, shifting the four year old girl on his hip a little. Lilli peers curiously at Lestat before hiding her face against her father's chest. "Should I applaud?"

If you wish to. *notes the child* And who is this lovely creature?

"This?" Nicki smiles softly and kisses the girl's hair. "This is Lilli, she's my daughter."

"I'm sure I have friends who will yank my hair just for speaking to you. I was born in 1769, but since I got lost to here in 1794 or so, I'm only 27." Indeed, the young man is dressed in a fashion Lestat would recognize from his life in the past. "I'd welcome you, but you seem set on being unliked." He shrugs, then bows. "I'm Armand St. Just."

*returns the bow with a bit of a grin* It isn't that I'm set on being disliked. In fact it is quite the opposite, I'm quite a lover of attention and praise. The reason for my seeming so it that in my many years on this earth there have been few who would put up with me for very long, let alone like me in any way. Even my own mother seemed to wish me gone, there is only one who ever put up with all of my insanities and it seems that he has created a rather nice life without me. So, as I have said, it isn't that I wish for you to dislike me, it is just my personality that makes people loathe me.

"Will you take a bit of advice? Don't go on about it so. And be careful here." He smiles apologetically.

A good piece of advice. I shall try my best to follow it.

Helen is reading in the main room, and does not immediately look up from her book, but goes very still. Lestat may be able to note that, while not undead, she has been marked by a very powerful vampire, twice. Only once more would be necessary to turn her; this may explain the cross around her neck, and the scarf lightly tied above it.

She looks up. "Good evening," she says in clipped, accented English. "Quite an entrance you made."

"Lestat!" Jaenelle comes hurtling out of nowhere and stops just short of hugging him, but her smile is dazzling. "You came back!"

*gives her an odd look* What is all this talk of 'coming back' I was never here in the first before...and just who are you anyway?

Jaenelle blinks twice and then looks offended, then hurt, and takes a step back, her face closing off. "I must have mistaken you for someone else," she says coolly. "My apologies."
