I'd rather just skip them all together, but seeing as how the general public does not find that polite I suppose it's best that I just get it over with. Helen is reading in the main room, and does not immediately look up from her book, but goes very still. Lestat may be able to note that, while not undead, she has been marked by a very powerful vampire, twice. Only once more would be necessary to turn her; this may explain the cross around her neck, and the scarf lightly tied above it.
