"She's not afraid to be seen. You must not be afraid to see."

Angelina Marguerite -- she is beautiful but strange, beautiful but in an aspect always changing, always melting like proud, bright snows into softer shades of spring, or all the seasons turned back, winter grace to autumn glory to a summer blooming-brilliant where the flowers sing and the birds open their wings like petals on the branch. Now she ( Read more... )

The voice is a voice which Timothy knows well and that is what strikes him first. It is one which he heard when he was some few years younger and far from this place, a voice which still travels towards him and away in time as it did once before. He knows the face second, as the voice draws him through a doorway, one through which he was not planning to exit (or enter) and draws him farther into a look of wide-eyed startlement.

"Angelina Marquerite!" The name slips past his lips in a heavy whirl of wonder, joy and even, perhaps, still that slightest hint of fear.

Typist: I would like to apologize ahead of time for the fact that I have an odd schedule and lack steady internet and will therefore be extremely slow in tagging but really. To not comment at all would have been a crime.

"Timothy!" His slips her lips with another bright laugh, with a flicker in her eyes like a candle-flame -- the name of her own dear cousin, her first/last kiss, her friend of oh-the-time-matters-not, the boy who lifted her veil and then she was born from death into life. Why not laugh? "Dear Timothy, you've grown."

typist: you're quite, quite forgiven. ^_^

"I have." He acknowledges the fact with a nod as he watches her, unable to help the smile that the contagiousness of her joy fosters. "And you've stayed the same and ever changing."

"Oh, but someday our lives will cross and clasp hands, when we've all the same days, the same hours, the same minutes and seconds inside us and ripe like sweet seeds -- before they part ways again, yours slowly forward and mine running backwards, in that very same second, my sweet cousin -- ! We shall have to celebrate then." And she holds out her hand to clasp, lips still curled with her perfect, satisfied smile.

He is a man all shadows and angles and smirking pride, and perhaps as much of an opposite as she could have. He is almost hard to spot, though he's standing there openly enough; one's eyes slide past him.

"Obviously."

T: Eee, this is awesome.

"Obviously, miraculously," she says when her eyes catch upon him as light and easy as the brush of feathers and a wing, skirts still in her hands, now spread in a curtsy.

"Ah, but magically?" he asks with a little twist of a smirk.

"Oh, magically most of all." That smirk returned, in a smile that twists and plays along her lips. "Life if strange, you understand -- but death is that much stranger."

*Esmeralda laughs with her, not for any reason but joy at her joy* Here you are!

"How fine it is, to be here, to be now, the same air to breathe beautiful and invisible, the same world deep, deep in our lungs," she laughs again, joy within joy within joy. "How fine it is to be."

Smiling, smiling, holding out her (small and dove-like) hand -- "And you? Will you be here with me?"
