Karla figures since Khary brought her downstairs it doesn't count as work, and that potion of Gabrielle's really did help. Not to mention snuggling with Armand. But everyone is so damn unhappy right now, and that is just not okay with a rather cheerful witch. So, after bullying Khary into doing what she wants, she's settled into a chair, reading a ( Read more... )

Oh, he hasn't been crackplotted yet. And so, here is Sir Lamorak, eating an orange chocolate. Since the typist isn't precisely clear who his worst enemy is, we'll just have him head for the Orkney cottage and leave it at that.

...What if, by sheer and horrible accident, he meets Gaheris, in an unexpected period of sanity, out looking for his wife?

Ahaha. Lamorak is still blocking the traumatic memories, to some degree, but says "Sir! Sir, I humbly beg your pardon."

Gaheris startles very much and takes a darting step away. "Sir?"

"Hi, Karla." Beatrice is still depressed over her premonition, but she manages a weak smile. "'Holiday cheer'... are these yours?" Normally she wouldn't touch unexpected food, but she trusts Karla. She takes a plain milk one. "Thanks. You're ...very kind. You really are. You're such a wonderful person."

Armand wanders down, still a bit pale and such, and sees Karla and the chocolates. He pulls a chair over to sit near her, looking dubiously between her and the candy. In a low voice, he asks, "What are you up to?"

"Armand!" Beatrice sees him and grins. "It's so wonderful to see you! You should try a chocolate. They're very good. I think they're enchanted as well," she adds in a whisper, "but if they are, it's lovely."

He glances sideways at Karla. "Oh, I know they're enchanted. I want to know how first." He smiles at Beatrice though. "How have you been?"

((I've had him avoiding her because he's been upset with things I didn't want to wish on you and her.))

Karla conveniently doesn't warn Beatrice. She looks like she could use some happy chocolates. However, when Armand comes down, she flashes him a bright smile. "You think I can cook? I barely made it down here without Morton hovering over me. He'd probably explode if I even tried to get out a pan. Besides, you'd know if I'd cooked something. I think Khary made them, actually."

Orange chocolates? How could this kind person know that that was her very favorite when she was a little girl? And yet....as she takes a couple of pieces, she can't help feeling that there is something very strange about the whole situation.

"Does anyone know where I might find Mr. Holmes. It is quite an urgent matter, you see."
