A bit of magic

Oct 21, 2007 11:04

John Childermass is sitting at a table, off to the side of the main room. He would be very easy not to notice at all, despite his strange appearance, as if shadows clung to him a bit. He is currently reading his Marseilles cards, again and again. Whether he is asking different questions or is simply dissatisfied with answers to the same question, it isn't clear.

What is clear is that with his power on the rise from the Raven King's return, and the Mansion's own magic feeding in, all that divination has to go somewhere. And so anyone passing through the room while he's there, and even for some hours afterward, will be treated or cursed to see clearly some event from their future, or some long-forgotten event from their past. It will be striking, and it will, most probably not be what they were looking for.

Childermass keeps turning cards.

Typist: The "memory" can fade with time or remain permanent, at the typist's discretion. Just a standard unasked-for vision of the future.
