He sees her and smiles. "I'm trying to make the music machine work." He pointes to the stereo.

"Yes, with these." He holds up a few CDs.

Khary is always up for ice cream and dancing. Always. He finds his way to wherever Armand is and makes a beeline for the ice cream.

What can we say? He has a sweet tooth. After he's had a mouthful of ice cream, he turns and gives Armand a wave and a grin.

Armand smiles back cheerily. Well, as cheerily as he can with the music not fixed yet. But as a good host, he asks, "Did you find what you wanted?"

"Mm, yes." He walks over to look at the CD player. "What's this?"

"It's supposed to make music but it doesn't seem to be working."

The newly cheerful Cassandra sees the invitation and has a moment of hesitation before she mutters, "Why not?" And goes looking for either Rupert or whoever is running to party. Or perhaps both.

Armand waves to her and points to the ice cream. "Eat all you like. There's more."

She gives him a smile and a curtsy, ducking her head shyly. "Thank you, sir," she murmurs in a rather quiet voice. "It is very good of you to do such a thing for the people of this place."

"Tis only a promise I made to a friend. Enjoy yourself. There should be some dancing later."

Morton wanders up behind Armand, staring at the stereo system. It's like nothing he's familiar with. "Hullo, Armand. What," he asks, "is that?"

Armand smiles nervously. "Well, according to the directions, you put these--" He holds up a CD, still in it's case. "Into it and music comes out. It doesn't seem to work."

Morton blinks at the CD a moment, then picks up the directions and flips through them. "It looks complicated."

"I thought it would be easier. It's for the dancing." He bites hls lip.
