An idle Took

Pippin is bored. His stay at the mansion has, thus far, been rather uneventful if one forgets the time spent as a child. Everything that he wants is within easy reach; cousins, food, drink, and a good pipe. Most of the horrors of the war, even the encounter with Sauron, have almost completely faded away. It isn't as though there is much here to ( Read more... )

Wolfram, fresh from training, enters and immediately gets soaked. He looks up in fury and shock, trying to shake off the water.

Pippin is standing off to the side laughing and pointing. It worked better than he expected.

"What do you think you are doing?!" the bedraggled and dripping blond demands.

"Having a bit of fun, mostly."

Hurrying down from upstairs, Armand initially avoids the water traps until he opens the kitchen door. And wham! wet Frenchman. Sputtering with surprise and quite a bit more awake than he was two seconds ago, he searches around for whomever set this up.

A good guess would be the laughing hobbit in the corner.

He wipes more water out of his eyes. "Why did you do that?"

It's like this: he's still a teenager, and currently has no younger brothers around to do this sort of thing, and he's certainly not allowed to catch a break on that account.

So. On the way in, see a drenched young elfprince blinking water out of his eyes. "Tyelko-? Don't tell me--"

Nope, no younger brothers but there is a highly amused hobbit.

It's always easiest to blame Fëanorians. But oh, look, a highly amused hobbit, whose grin is infectious.

Holding out the bucket: "I don't suppose this is yours?"

"Thank you. I wasn't expecting to have it returned."

It's a once-Warlord Prince, bouncing through looking for Gabrielle. Unfortunately, the water that is promptly dumped onto his head would have amused a ten-year-old Eyrien boy, but it definitely doesn't amuse the suddenly full grown Eyrien Warlord Prince, who is now soaking wet, half-dressed, and holding a very nasty looking war blade.

"DAMMIT, WILL SOMEONE EXPLAIN EXACTLY WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO ME?" he roars.

Forgive the pissy, please.

Still damp from his own encounter with one of those buckets, Armand can't help giggling though he tries to hide it behind one of his hands. "You got wet." Ater a moment while he considers the merits of fleeing back upstairs, he says, "Would you like to come to a party?"

Lucivar glances at him and scowls. "You," he mutters, a little darkly. And after a pause. "What sort of party?"

"I didn't get you wet." He carefully doesn't glance a the laughing hobbit on the far side of the room. "The kind where you meet people, eat lots of food and wear out someone's floor learning new, silly dances. But hardly formal in any other sense."
