Tom sat down next to him, trying to get a better look at the pot. "What are you doing?"

Sam strode through, his expression closed and shuttered up tight. He didn't even notice Jackrabbit, for the moment. Something was not right, but he was good at not showing what was wrong, either.

T: I don't know how, um, primed to deal with bad things Jackrabbit is, at the moment. If he just wants to let Sam go, that's fine too.

Jackrabbit looked up.

"Hello Sam Spade," he said with a broad smile, though the smile faded. something was wrong.

"Are you alright?"

Sweeney liked watching Jackrabbit work. But then again, he also liked when Jackrabbit was paying attention to him, so he had few qualms when it came to interrupting him.

But Fanny would never distract or interrupt anyone. She watches him from a distance. If he looks up he might see her.

Jackrabbit concentrated, tongue poking out of his mouth and his brows furrowed. He finished a little section, held it out and grinned. It wasn't until then that he noticed her watching him.

"Hello."

Alcuin's been keeping to himself lately, but when he sees Jackrabbit he comes over, setting a tray of lemon tarts down next to him. "Hello, Jackrabbit."
