Not dead yet...

Tom Jones is out on the porch swing. More specifically, Tom Jones is naked and unconscious on the porch swing. He's been out there for a while and his body is starting to show signs of the cold. At first glance he probably looks like yet another corpse. It would be nice if he was noticed.

Faile has been taking a fairly peaceful walk around the Mansion, and is startled to see Tom lying on the swing. She immediately runs up to him and covers him with her cloak to keep him warm, and because she is uncomfortable seeing him lying there naked. She figures that he's probably too heavy for her to lift, so she bends over and asks, "Hello? Can you hear me?"

He is, unfortunately, not going to regain consciousness anytime soon, and shows no sign of having heard her, or even of being particularly alive.

Spade has been looking for Tom since being told he was Richard's closest friend at the Mansion. Unfortunately, he's had to do it by asking around, since the one time he met Tom, the man was ten.

After exhausting the Mansion, he decides to try outside. And here's another corpse waiting for him. "Christ," he says, and a long string of quieter profanity as he moves to check the man's pulse.

There is a pulse, albeit a slow one.

Typist: I could send over Helen to help?

Sorry, Weena. Nothing. But she may be able to just barely feel his heartbeat.

It makes her happy, at least, and she puts her head down on top of it, sighing.
