Not dead yet...

Tom Jones is out on the porch swing. More specifically, Tom Jones is naked and unconscious on the porch swing. He's been out there for a while and his body is starting to show signs of the cold. At first glance he probably looks like yet another corpse. It would be nice if he was noticed.

Faile has been taking a fairly peaceful walk around the Mansion, and is startled to see Tom lying on the swing. She immediately runs up to him and covers him with her cloak to keep him warm, and because she is uncomfortable seeing him lying there naked. She figures that he's probably too heavy for her to lift, so she bends over and asks, "Hello? Can you hear me?"

He is, unfortunately, not going to regain consciousness anytime soon, and shows no sign of having heard her, or even of being particularly alive.

Spade has been looking for Tom since being told he was Richard's closest friend at the Mansion. Unfortunately, he's had to do it by asking around, since the one time he met Tom, the man was ten.

After exhausting the Mansion, he decides to try outside. And here's another corpse waiting for him. "Christ," he says, and a long string of quieter profanity as he moves to check the man's pulse.

There is a pulse, albeit a slow one.

Typist: I could send over Helen to help?

"Jesus. What the hell has gotten into everyone all of a sudden?" Spade muttered as he thought through the options quickly.

T: That might be shiny, if you don't mind. Spade's gonna need some help moving him.

Helen was wandering by, thinking about the recent round of deaths, especially Paul's. She was sure that Moritz wasn't who he planned on getting killed by.

Upon seeing Tom she'll just stare for a good long moment, because there was a naked dead man just lying there.

Spade is taking off his jacket, which will be too big on Tom, but for now that's a virtue. He notices her out of the corner of his eye, though, and he says, "Hey, kid. Come help me."

She moves over awkwardly, more disturbed by the lack of clothing than anything else. "All right."

He manages to get the jacket around Tom, more or less, but to try and get him warm. Since Helen's a boy, currently, it doesn't even occur to him that the nudity is making her awkward in the least.

"We gotta get him inside, and then get a doctor. We probably shouldn't move him, but he's been out here too long already. Can you get his feet?"

Helen nods and grabs them, trying not to look at anything.

Spade took Tom's shoulders, as carefully as he could under the circumstances. As they started to move back into the Mansion, he said, "You don't happen to know this guy, do you?"

"No. I'm afraid not. Is he dead as well?"

"Not yet. That's what the doctor's for. Would you rather stay with him or go find some help?"

"I'm new here, I don't know any doctors or where to find them."

"Unfortunately, I don't know where to find them either. The only one I've met is Doctor Abernathy, but whichever of us went looking, we'd just have to start asking for help as best we can." Spade picked a likely-looking empty room and steered them into it.

"Who is he?"
