"So you're royalty?" He is further impressed. "I come from a very old and respected family line myself."

"Very small royalty, yes."

"Small? You mean a small kingdom?"

"Small in posistion and in place. We lived on the border lands. My father was killed defending them. No palaces for us just fortresses." She looks rather proud. "But we were rich."

"If your father was killed does that mean you've taken over as heir?"

"I am not yet come of age. I lived with my widowed aunt and my cousins." She gets quiet for a moment. "They are dead."

"Oh. What age do you come of age? In my world I'm an adult at seventeen."

"Twenty. My youngest cousin was just barely twenty..."
