A piano-playing vampire

Lestat is in the main room of the Mansion, sitting at the grand piano and playing Beethoven with a bored expression. Although his fingers move deftly along the keys with perfect form and timing, he yawns and looks around as if to see if there is anyone nearby

*she listens for a little while, for she does love music, almost as much as she likes pistols. After a while, she says,* You're good.

[Typist: *checks Hedda off list of characters to introduce to Lestat*]

"Mmm, merci beaucoup, mam'selle. Would you like to hear anything specific?" he smiles politely, his fingers moving back and forth among the keys with preternatural skill.

[hedda_t_gabler]

Not really. I like most things. Just not Brams. I can't abide Brams.

[devilish_prince]

"Bien, let's see what I can come up with in this old memory of mine," he winks and chuckles, and begins to play "Fur Elise" by Mozart softly. "I don't believe we've met before, I am Lestat de Lioncourt."

[alcuin_delaunay]

Alcuin's feeling sociable, so he'll come to listen, hesitating in the doorway, as he always does, not wanting to intrude.

He closes his eyes for a few moments, losing himself in the music and sighing softly. When he opens them, he sees Alcuin standing in the doorway and smiles amiably, jerking his head for him to come closer. "Please, come in. I'm only fending off boredom," he winks.

Alcuin smiles in reply, and wanders closer, touching the piano hesitantly before leaning against it. "Your playing is lovely."

[devilish_prince]

"Awww, merci monsieur, I do what I can," he says with a pleased and slightly flushed smile. "Would you like to request a song?"

[englishgent]

And David, taking a stroll around the mansion, hears the music and approaches quietly. He leans gently against the side of the piano.

"Perhaps a little Verdi?" A warm smile spreads across his face and he chuckles to himself.

Upon seeing David, Lestat's face lights up and stands up, wraps an arm around his waist and kisses him softly. "Mmmm, hello there."

He smiles and sits back down. "Verdi, you say?" He begins picking up a familiar song quickly, hummming along.

With a gentle chuckle he gives Lestat a squeeze. "and I'm happy to see you too"

He listens for a while, bobbing his head to and fro with the music, absent mindedly conducting an invisible orchestra with his finger.

"Stunning Lestat, simply stunning." *and he was being purposely vague as to what exactly he was describing as stunning.*

Lestat smiles, looking very pleased and changes over to a song from "La Traviata". Being endearingly clueless today, he assumes that David was referring to the music. "Bien, when you hear something enough times, you learn to pick it up easily," he smiles, closing his eyes as his fingers work the keys expertly.
