Well, you are.

The fact that Luca still didn't have a permanent place to live worried Desmond, and likely would until Luca did find an apartment to call home. It wasn't as if he could interject any help directly; he knew Luca wanted to search without a tag-along. Despite that, Desmond still felt the desire to do something to help the situation, even if it was ( Read more... )

From his lazy perch atop the upper edge of the back of the park bench where he was seated, it was truly a wonder how strong there wireless signals carried around the city give how vast it was, he'd been pressing keys on the worn laptop.

Technology was something that he, unlike so many of his kin, saw as a positive shift in the world because of the possibilities it opened up; some as simple as a journal to keep him aware of the people he strayed from seeing so often as he might have liked.

I said you should tell me a different way to say it if I was wrong, since you're so much more worldly knowledgeable. You've got to help me - what the hell do I know about this sort of thing? I don't want to sound like an idiot by pronouncing it wrong, or saying the wrong words altogether. And anyway, I think the person I'm going to tell is going to like it. Or at least they damn well better; I don't put out this sort of effort for just anyone :p

Besides, I mean it.

I don't think I need to help you at all, sounds like you've got it all under control perfectly.
Yanno, effort is most of the battle anyway; the important part at least.

Glad for your vote of confidence I guess, but we clearly disagree on my level of preparedness. I better not get laughed at when I try this.
