Title: The Soldiers Day/Theme: December 12th / Collecting memories in a rainbow pot Series: Princess Tutu Character/Pairing: Fakir, Charon, Reitzel, Mytho Rating: G
You don't know HOW happy I was to stumble upon this tonight. <3 I love fic that features Fakir as a child, and this was awesome. I like how you captured Fakir's serious, determined nature, but didn't forget that he was still a kid, too (like him naming the rocking horse 'clip-clop'). The rainbow jar was a great way to tie in the theme, and really gave a beautiful mental image. And you've got both Charon AND Raetzel in here, who I think are two severely underused characters in fanfic. The language does a good job of being easy to read but capturing a 'fairytale' feel...and how it ties into the fire in the end was a great way to set where the fic was, I though. So...yes, this made me very happy.
Very nicely written. It's hard for readers to remember that Fakir was a carefree kid at one point in his life, and you've captured his innocence so well here.

Normally... I'm the type that enjoys a more *adult* touch to my fanfiction, but this was absolutely fabulous. You write very well, and capture the characterization of Fakir quite beautifully; a YOUNG Fakir at that. You'd be surprised how difficult most people find with writing fiction where a child is the main character.
Congrads on a job well done! And- a fic without Fakir/Ahiru is a nice *breath of fresh air*. (I'm diving back into that realm for a bit; hit me up if you are interested in reading some, hahaha).
