I absolutely adore Ovid and Latin poetry. However, I would appriciate it if he would quit making up words and doing other very strange things with the language. It really scares me when the notes say things like "Ovid has dared a dative without a proposition." or "Editors have pinpointed the difficulty in tenuisse, without finally solving it."
