1) I hate people who think women's bodies, minds, and lives are up for discussion just because they're in public. So many men have told me to "smile!"- that I'd be so much prettier if I smiled more. They don't seem to realize that not putting on a stone-like exterior while in public leaves me open to harassment. Hell, I've already been jerked off onto while riding the Green Line. I don't owe any stranger anything unless I feel like it. [not that I never smile or talk to strangers- it's just something that I like to happen organically
