I hate it when family does that. Tragedy strikes and we go: Hello? Hi, remember me? I'm your cousin/sister/grandchild/DAUGHTER(WTF????*rawr*). Tsk. An encouraging (well, maybe not so much) thought is that it's happening all the time to everybody I know. I've lived on my own for eight years and my family has yet to grasp that fact. Not to mention relatives, who still thinks "calling my mom" is the same as calling me.

I know how you feel with the family thing. 99% of my extended family lives down near Grand Rapids, and once we moved away, I became the forgotten grand child and rarely got to know what was going on with anyone. Now I hear absolutely nothing at all since I'm in MQT. :P
