Totally f'ed up the second painting attempt. I was going for something colorful but sedate and "Indian". Instead, I ended up with a mucky brown mess. My attempts at "fixing" it and covering it up have ended in yet another layer of mess. Blending is not so easy with paint ( Read more... )

I've definitely have had one of those art adventures. As a team builder, my internship supervisor in D.C. took my co-workers and I to this art party, where they basically have an easel and paints set up, and you can "express" yourself while drinking wine and eating cheese and crackers. So I thought, I'll just do a simple pattern... but then everyone was still painting so I added more...and then a little more...and then it was great big mess. I did enjoy having hipsters walk by and try to politely comment on it though lol.

I can only imagine how frustrating it is to feel sick, but have no idea what it is. I'm one of those people who has random, non-serious afflictions that are just annoying, and I hate whenever I have to go through the "no, I don't do this, I don't do that, it just happens." I hope you find some relief soon!

Ha! I love when people try to interpret your art in front of you. Everybody's all polite and nodding, while on the inside you're laughing your ass off! :D

I'm taking it as God thought I didn't deserve any more difficulties beyond those I'm already facing. Things could have been worse. I get more frustrated since I'm studying medicine so I'm clued in. Plus I'm a fixer. When I see something broke, I like to go in and make it better. Much harder to do with yourself. *sigh*

But, staying strong. I've my parents on my side and my virtual friends who are so kind and supportive! :)

Everything I paint/draw tends to be a big mess. While in college I got the wild idea to take an art class as an elective. After about a week I promptly decided to drop it for something else. I was not blessed in that regard, but I praise those who have been.

Being ill is awful. Being ill and not knowing what in the heck is causing it is practically torture. You are in my prayers!

When I get around to doing the version I actually wanted to achieve, I'll post a compare & contrast pic. Then we can all laugh at how horribly wrong I was the first time around.
I have no talent in art, just a strange pull to it. I indulge myself since it's a fun distraction and I get to learn so much more in the process.

Thank you very much! I wouldn't know what to ask God at this point. I'm just thanking him for believing that I'm already dealing with enough and that He doesn't think my life needs to be any harder in any way.

*blush* Top reason why I shouldn't be online when I'm really sleepy.

But on second thought, either will do. I'll be forever in your debt if you do find and pass on one of either. :)

Thanks!
