Done?

I'm having a hard time getting this through my head. The school year is really done? I don't have to give student X the absent work for a fifth time, never to see it again? No more getting crap when I confiscate a cell phone that rings during class? No foot-high pile of work to grade? No more wondering who is going to pass and who is going to ( Read more... )

If school's out, does that mean we'll see you at dance practice?

Did you hear from Jody yet?

And could I get some measurements, and I'll make sure that some of the stuff I make for Isaac to sell at Pennsic fits Andy. He can take a look at them before they get delivered and see if he likes any of them (er, wait... when were you getting to Pennsic?)

Yay, no more school. Sewing sounds much more fun and less aggravating (I hope)! And it will be fun to see you at dance practice :)

I dunno, I alway seem to sew a sleeve or gore in backwards somewhere along the line, which is very aggravating. Fortunately, Adele sews a lot more than I do, so her error rate is likely much lower.

I find that the error rate is about the same. Someone who sews more makes fewer mistakes per seam but having done more seams the actual number of seams one has to unpick tends to be similar. *grin* Experience also makes one more likely to recognise mistakes the next time one makes them. Hopefully before beautifully hand finishing the backwards seam, but not always.

Been there, done that, oh yeah. :} I especially have a hard time with fabric that has no right or wrong side!

When I get a chance to get some good photos of my hubby in his new 15c Italian duds, I'll be submitting for the men's showcase.

I've just never been happy enough with what I've made myself to submit it. There's always something wrong, and if I'm sending it to you for the showcase, it's gotta be -right-.

And Jody's 15c outfit is -right-. :) It's good getting a "right off the fresco" comment from appropriately knowledgeable folks.
