Usually I wouldn't post stuff abt church because I don't enjoy shoving my religion into other's throat. But since this has nothing to do with God or christianity on the whole I guess i can put it up

I always find it strange when ppl use stereotypes or social norms as a reason to justify stuff, especially when the stuff involves unfairness. I went through this topic in GP class during JC too! But I didn't get so annoyed then because our CT(who was a guy too) actually put down the students that supported this unfair "social norm".
As for the HK guy, I think he isn't even listening to what you said la. He just wanted to rant and the context was relevant (albeit only by 10%). *pats* I know how u feel. I get this type of irrelevant rants a lot too. >>
