My computer is in trouble. Viruses galore, if the random audio ads (wtf?), desktop shortcuts to porn sites, slowness and frequent backgrounding of active windows is any clue ( Read more... )

Urgh, that sucks. :( You could try AVG Antivirus. I'm about to head to bed but let me know how it goes.

Thanks! I tried to install AVG, but it wouldn't let me. No problems, tho! I found a tech company to come out and fix it. Crossing my fingers still, but it seems to be all over now. Whew.

Thanks! I tried DLing this and a bunch of other programs, but had to call in a professional in the end. Working good as new now, though. *sigh of relief*

Thanks! I called someone in to help and they installed that program actually (along with a couple others). It found some crazy stuff. /o\ All better now, though!

Oh, that SUCKS. I used to use Ad-aware and Spybot Search and Destroy, but I never had anything that bad and that was a while ago.... That's a huge pain, I'm sorry.

It was kind of scary for a day or so, there. My poor computer! Had to call in an IT guy I found on craigslist, and now everything's back to normal. A little better than, actually. So, yay!
