i like your wall hangings. your place looks really cozy and inviting.
dean and sam were kind of introduced to us as unhealthily codependent already, so it's easy to see them that way. maybe that's one of the differences between your feelings for their codependence versus how you feel about it with kirk and mccoy.
and i'm right there with you in preferring a sam&dean who really don't have room in their lives for anyone else. i think it's telling that the only times they've ever had long-term close relationships with other people, it's because they've been separated from each other. also, i wouldn't worry about seeing healthy relationships on the show, for no other reason than i don't think the writers know how to write them.
Good point about them not having serious outside relationships when they've got each other close by. I used to sort of think it was because their relationship was so all-encompassing that they didn't have the emotional resources for anyone else--which I think is still true. But I think now that after all this time there has to be an element of wanting to be only for each other. Show makes a big deal about how circumstances and fighting evil keep bringing them back to each other (that reason is what seems foregrounded to me, anyway), but I'm pretty sure at heart they just really, really like each other and want to spend all their time together.
