So yesterday was the last day of being alone in our house.* As of last night two guys have officially begun the process of moving into the apartment upstairs. To add to the above excellent advice: make sure the home has been inspected by a certified technician. Termites and mold = bad.

I loved that old house. It was so pretty (though your apartment was definetly the jewel). I loved sitting on the front porch and the neighborhood was a joy to look at.

But after the car break-ins I was a little miffed. Then the air conditioner wouldn't work. And I could have lived with that...until I found ice two inches thick in the pantry and the thermostat read seventy degrees. My WTF Meter(TM) was officially pegged out.

I can't wait to get all my boxes unpacked at the new (not freezing) place. I have your old bridge painting over the mantel. :)

i agree with the advice of the above commenters :)

good luck finding a new place! i hope it doesn't get stressful.

& how did you cook that tilapia? did it turn out well? i never got around to commenting, but for a simple idea i just add some pre-mixed cajun seasoning to a little olive oil, brush it on, and broil it for 10 minutes.
