Oh yeah! I saw Sweeney Todd on Friday. While Helen Bohman Carter is mostly painful to listen to (in my musical snobbery opinion), and they cut out a couple songs (like the Overtures, God That's Good, and Judge Turpin's solo) it was a good, fun, bloody movie! They added several comedic elements that had us chuckling and did a good job of adapting it ( Read more... )

I'm hearing more of the soundtrack from the movie! Helen Bohman Carter CANT SING! She butchers Mrs. Lovett! She can't hold a note out beyond like a second, never mind being off key *sobs* she sort of does an accented, breathy, speak sing, you should hear her try to hit any "higher" notes, ouch, just blah!...and as much as I love Alan Rickman... I hate, HATE looking for a place to live in this city. Period. The prices are ridiculous for what you get and then you're expected to come up with a small fortune in order to move in.
