I've had guests staying with me for all this week. I've pretty much done nothing in terms of sewing, which is bothering me just a bit under the surface. Part of me will be glad when they are gone; I'll be able to get more work done on my scholars projects ( Read more... )

Have you thought about recorder? It's what I am likely to do. It is not a hard instrument to learn. I think Lachlan's is kicking around somewhere I could lend you, and yes, I would give lessons as well :).

I have thought about a performance piece where I play an instrument, yes. But while I do enjoy the sound of a bass recorder, I was thinking of something like a mandolin... I have a modern one at home, and I like the sound it makes. Kinda like if a Banjo and a russian Balalaika had a love child ( ... )
