1. My house has been de-queened. Briefly it was even clean. I may die of bliss.

2. I hacked off all my hair last night. It just brushes my shoulders now. It would have been chin length, but elmer42 made little whimpering sounds at the salon and I relented ( Read more... )

I know the feeling, and I think part of it is the season/weather. My current photo class assignment is "Light/Shadows", and it makes my head hurt just trying to think of ways to get creative with that when the whole world is flat and gray and drippy.

Now that the Crown list came out, I can reveal I am going to Crown Tournament as a spectator. If the headaches have stopped by then, you can ply me with booze. If they have not, I will ply you with booze.

I'll be at Crown. Are you daytripping or staying up there? I think we're staying the in the cabins for ease of travel.

Staying on the island in a hotel, not in the cabins. It is close enough to claim to be stumbling distance from the site....

Ahh... that certainly gets around the "dry site" issue. ;)

Do you mind letting me know where and how much, or at least the rate, so I can use it as a yardstick? I need to circle back with the other people who made noises about possibly wanting to do a group hotel thing - I haven't found anything nice that I consider reasonably priced, hot tub or no. I'm probably doing the Motel 6 thing.

Unless of course you don't want a bunch of the rest of us invading, which is TOTALLY reasonable at this point.

Also? My muse appears to be on strike. Which is bad because I have three poems with deadlines, one that's been hanging over me, and, a short story for an anthology that's due at the end of the month. ::headdesk::

i am glad that your life can be more. . you? in the near future. . that you can separate it's parts and look at it without being overrun with it's responsibilities for a while. . .

and perhaps it is just that the familiar things from the past are bringing me great comfort these days, but this:

6.

made me really really happy. maybe just knowing that certain things continue. . .some things do not move with the passing of time. .people, traditions, you being queen of something. . .;)

There are status quos that must be maintained!

SOMEONE's keeping track, you know they are!

Where did 6. come from, anyway? "There is no 6" was common in my social circle at college, but I never knew it's origin -- but it was an entirely separate social circle from yours, so I imagine there's a common source.

Also, I realize you're going to believe the scale and not me, dervishspin, but I don't see you often and it looked to me like you'd lost weight this weekend. So ... goals are good, but also, you look a) good and b) well.

2. What is it with the men and the hair?!?

Though once mine cut his (and I cried), I figured he had NO SAY about what I did with mine.

I love mine short - I think it's far shorter than chin-lenght. You could always break him in gradually, half an inch at a time...

Enjoy the bliss. I am thinking of you.
