The T's new Charlie Card has an RFID chip inside. RFID is an acronym for "Tracks Your Every Move Makes Things Easier (for) You." Please refrain from arguing that RFID doesn't stand for Makes Things Easier (for) You and how the acronym would be MTEY anyway because that's how acronyms work. I had fun doing that with my card this morning. It actually worked with about a 2 inch distance between my hand and the target, like some sort of new-agey techno-handshake.

Or they could sell a version of the RFID chip implanted in a secret decoder ring!

Does the RFID chip know about the rest of the card? Could you just extract it from the card and implant it in a ring yourself?
