Okay, not so many roses. But having spent time in both the territories of the Wars of the Roses, I just couldn't resist. And there wasn't THAT much beer either - just a little, y'know. Well, the spider is incorrigble...
Argh! The village with The Three Fishes is called Mitton. It's not a closely guarded secret or anything, just that I was originally typing this up away from the internet and couldn't remember if it was spelled Mitten or Mitto. So I thought that I'd look it up just before I posted it and slot the word in... best laid plans of mice and men...
I must admit that I hadn't really thought about Cuddles providing a sense of scale. Probably just shaking my head at what a relentless attention seeker he is. ;-)
Cuddles sure is enjoying himself ;) But I think he's drinking too much, and OMG, DALEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, I'd love to visit that museum. And your pics are nice and sharp. What kind of camera do you have? Digital SLR?
Cuddles doesn't really understand the concept of drinking too much - or that any and all beer on the table doesn't belong to him. Truly incorrigible!
If you love Daleks (and I know you do!) then you would've REALLY loved this museum in Newcastle. It's basically one of those science museums aimed at kids and they have a totally AWESOME Doctor Who exhibition on until this October. Cuddles (and my K9) got to meet Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, Sontarans, another K9 and the Face of Boe *points at icon* - amongst others. Really, REALLY cool!
And my camera is a Canon IXUS 970 just over 2 years old. It's quite compact (fits in my jacket pocket) but reasonably powerful with a great zoom for its size (x5 on lenses alone).
I'm so glad to see Cuddles keep his, uhm, end up......You certainly seem to by enjoying yourselves.
Say hi to all in Bewdley for me and make sure you do your best at the beer festival.....think of me....I will be hitting Bewdley one month from today.....
We will be hitting Bewdley later today. Will try to leave it in more or less the condition that we found it. Well, I will. No promises about the spider. But there should still be some buildings standing for your visit in a month's time.
There will be pictures from the beer festival. Oh yes, there will.

I hope things are picking up for you. You know that I'm terrible at keeping up with LJ, but I know you've been having a rough time. *hugs*

Cuddles is such a travelled spider.

And yeah, I love the Wombles. A small version of Great Uncle Bulgaria sits on my desk at work.
